We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Vice President & General Manager to lead our growth and establish us as a significant participant in the telecom industry.

Position Summary

The Vice President & General Manager will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of Hiboo Networks. This role requires a high energy leader with deep telecom industry experience, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and a proven record to build and scale a successful business in a fast-paced, competitive environment. The VP&GM will drive revenue growth, build a high-performing team, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the company's strategic plan, aligning with the overall business objectives and market opportunities.
    • Identify and evaluate new market segments, product offerings, and partnership opportunities.
    • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes, and adapt the company's strategy accordingly.
    • Drive innovation and technological advancement to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Develop presentations and present Hiboo’s strategic plans and ideas to EMT and Board Members.
    • Work closely with the Executive Vice-President to achieve strategic goals and objectives of the business and provide support to internal stakeholders as required.

  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Lead and develop the sales team.

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including network deployment, service delivery, customer support, and IT infrastructure.
    • Establish and implement efficient processes and systems to optimize operational performance and cost efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards.
    • Manage and mitigate operational risks.

  • Financial Performance:
    • Own and be accountable for the overall performance and profitability (P&L) of the organization.
    • Develop and manage the company's budget, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Oversee financial forecasting and reporting.

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and  accountability.  
    • Recruit, train, and mentor key personnel.
    • Provide clear direction and performance feedback to team members.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Customer Experience:
    • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
    • Establish and maintain customer service standards.
    • Address and resolve customer escalations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the telecom industry, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of telecom technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive revenue growth, and manage financial performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An entrepreneurial and growth mindset with a passion for building and scaling a successful business.
  • Experience with startup environments is highly desirable.
