Joined TorIX and CANIX, two of Canada’s largest internet exchanges
This year, we also joined TorIX in Toronto and CANIX in Montreal, along with our continued presence at CANIX-Ottawa. It’s a major step forward in our delivery of world-class connectivity to businesses across Ottawa-Gatineau.

With reliability and resiliency in mind, we designed a dual-ring network to provide multiple paths in and out of the area in order to support partners’ critical business connectivity requirements.
Deepened our community connections and industry leadership
Our Ottawa-Gatineau roots run deep: our network is here, our team is local and our dedication to the community is steadfast. And this year, we strengthened that commitment by connecting directly with the people shaping the future of local business and technology:
- In April, we met with top local talent and professionals at Discover Technata
- In May, we partnered with National Capital FreeNet (NCF), Ottawa Housing Community (OCH) and Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), for the creation of the CommuniFi partnership to provide free WiFi access for local organizations
- In May and August, we explored emerging trends shaping telecommunications at International Telecoms Week and Regional Fiber Connect Toronto
- In July, we became an Invest Partner with Ottawa Board of Trade, championing business growth, economic prosperity, and community wellbeing
- In August, we also engaged with business and community leaders on the greens at Ottawa’s Best Networking Golf Tournament
- In November, we participated in conversations about the future of AI and smart systems with Ottawa’s property, operations, and technology professionals at BOMA Tech Day

Looking forward
